This was my second to last winter wedding of the season, and Mother Nature made sure we didn’t forget it. We stepped outside for portraits determined to brave the cold, but with 0-degree temperatures working against us, it didn’t take long to realize it just wasn’t in our favor. Our fingers went from numb… to straight on fire in a matter of minutes. As much as I love a snowy winter backdrop, sometimes the best decision is knowing when to pivot. So we did.

I had the chance to spend time with Ethan and Madison back in the spring during their engagement session. While I’ve known Madison and her family for years, that session was my first time meeting Ethan. From the very beginning, it was clear that both individually and even more so together, they are two of the kindest, sweetest people you could ever meet. Working with them throughout this season has been such a joy, and their wedding day was no exception.

I knew before I even showed up that this session was going to be a great time, but it turned out even better than I anticipated! I had such a fun time getting to chat and get to know Kyler and Emily a bit more. Their playful, easygoing personalities came through in every shot, and it made capturing their connection such a joy.

This fall has been an especially warm one, and since I’m always cold, I have absolutely no complaints. Nick and Maddy’s wedding day was one of the warmest yet, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. The day was filled with crisp blue skies, big fluffy clouds, and the prettiest golden light that made everything around them glow.

From the very first time I met Logen and Sydney at their engagement session, I knew I was going to love working with them. Their love for the outdoors and shared passion for adventure instantly stood out, and it was clear they were the kind of couple who bring joy everywhere they go.

Imagine the perfect August Saturday by the lake... warm sunshine, a soft breeze in the air, and the golf course glowing in the most vibrant shade of green. That was the backdrop for Zach and Sari’s beautiful lakefront wedding.

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is getting to walk with couples and families through different seasons of life. I first met Danae years ago when I had the privilege of taking her senior photos. Since then, I’ve been able to capture her family from time to time, and now I get to photograph this exciting new chapter—her engagement to Blake! It’s such a joy to see life come full circle like this. (Oh AND I get to take Blake's sisters wedding photos too!!!!!

For their engagement session, Blake and Melanie brought the absolute best energy — so much laughter, easy smiles, and a whole lot of joy. The sweetest surprise? They brought along the cutest little addition for a few photos (you’ll have to scroll to see who stole the spotlight!).

From the moment they arrived, it was nonstop laughter, sweet stories, and so much love in the air. These two are completely at ease with each other—playful, kind, and full of joy—and it made for the dreamiest session.

Some weddings feel extra special, and this one… this one was truly a full-circle kind of day. I still remember the excitement I felt when I got a text from Dylan a couple of years ago, asking if I’d be up for capturing his proposal to Molly. Of course, I said yes—how could I not?! Watching that moment unfold was such a joy, and even then, I knew their story was going to be something special.

Some couples are just meant to be in front of the camera, and Ryan and Alizae are absolutely one of them.

From the moment I met Hunter and Megan, I just knew I was going to love working with them! Their kind hearts, easy laughter, and genuine personalities made them such a joy to be around. Add in smiles that could light up any room—and you’ve got a couple who radiates joy and love in the most effortless way.

Here’s just a little glimpse into their gorgeous celebration… I’m so excited for these two and honored to have played a small part in such a big moment in their lives.
