Chase & Layla’s Wedding at Crystal Fountain Park | Ohio
There’s something special about returning to a venue you know and love, and Crystal Fountain Park is one of those places for me. Chase and Layla’s outdoor wedding day was absolutely beautiful, and it was so good to be back exploring the property, finding new little pockets for photos, and capturing a day filled with so much joy.
But this wedding was extra special for another reason — I had the opportunity to photograph Layla’s senior pictures years ago, and now I got to photograph her wedding day.
As a photographer, those full circle moments mean more than I can put into words. Getting to watch someone move from one season of life into another and being trusted to document those milestones is one of my favorite parts of what I do.
One thing I loved about Chase and Layla’s wedding was that we were able to take our time throughout the morning and afternoon. We explored different areas around the Crystal Fountain Park property, including some spots I hadn’t photographed before. It gave us the opportunity to create so much variety — from fun bridal party photos to quiet portraits of Chase and Layla together.
And that is exactly how I love a wedding day to feel.
I’ll absolutely help pose and direct when it’s needed, but I also want my couples to have space to simply be together. To laugh. To move. To soak everything in. Some of my favorite photographs happen in those little in-between moments when my couples forget about the camera altogether.
From happy tears to nonstop laughter, Chase and Layla’s day had a little bit of everything.
Those are the moments I’m always watching for as a wedding photographer ... not just the big moments everyone expects to be photographed, but the smaller ones happening around them.
A look between the bride and groom. A parent tearing up. Friends laughing together. The excitement right before the ceremony. The way everything feels once you realize, we’re actually married.
Of course I want to give my couples beautiful portraits worthy of hanging on their walls, but wedding photography is about so much more than creating pretty pictures.
I want your gallery to feel like your wedding day.
Photographing Layla’s senior pictures and then being asked to photograph her wedding is something I don’t take lightly.
One of the greatest compliments I can receive is when someone comes back to me for another important chapter of their life.
After photographing weddings for years throughout Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and beyond, getting to build relationships with my couples continues to be one of my favorite parts of this job. I love getting to know you during your engagement session, helping you create a photography-friendly wedding timeline, hearing about the details you’re excited about,
