Skinner Wedding

Almost 365 days later.

From their engagement session to their wedding day. Both in January, both wrapped in the most perfect blanket of snow, and yes… both very cold 😉

There’s something incredibly special about photographing a couple across seasons of their story. One year apart, same month, same winter magic… but a whole lot more love to celebrate.

A part from photographing their engagement session, a handful of phone calls and their wedding day, I don't know Luke and Emily all that well. But it doesn't take anyone long to see how perfect they are for one another. They’re both so grounded and confident in who they are individually, yet perfectly in tune together. Truly best friends, and it showed in every moment. Their love for each other and their love for God shining every second of their day.

From the second I arrived, there was a contagious joy and excitement surrounding their day. Smiles, laughter, happy tears, and an energy that never faded. I’m certain the celebration continued well into the night (and probably long after I left 🥂).

And can we talk about their photos for a minute? 🤍Luke and Emily choreographed a dance for their reception, so naturally, we had to bring some of those moves into their wedding portraits. Those moments... the twirls, laughter, movement, created the most authentic, candid, and joy-filled images. The kind of photos that feel just like them.

Luke & Emily, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your love story and for allowing me to be a part of such a meaningful day. Your winter wedding was pure magic, and I’m so honored to have documented it.
