A Winter Wedding in St. Marys, Ohio

There’s something incredibly special about a winter wedding in Ohio. The slower pace, the cozy energy, and the way the day feels deeply centered on what matters most. Brady and Ally’s wedding day in St. Marys, Ohio was exactly that: intentional, emotional, and filled with so much love, all while surrounded by their closest family and friends.

The day began with some of the sweetest first looks I’ve witnessed. Ally shared a heartfelt moment with her dad, Kevin, followed by a first look with her bridesmaids. There was laughter, happy tears, tight hugs, and that beautiful mix of nerves and excitement that makes wedding mornings so unforgettable. These moments truly set the tone for the entire day. Real, emotional, and completely authentic.

Brady and Ally exchanged vows in a charming Catholic church tucked away in the countryside. The quiet winter light, the sacred space, and the love felt in the room made their ceremony incredibly meaningful. Afterward, we stepped away for portraits of just the two of them, giving them a few calm moments together to soak it all in and simply be present.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Micah & Taylor of The Trademark Film Co, a talented husband-and-wife videography team based in Ohio. When working with a videographer, I’m always especially mindful of movement, flow, and space. Creating imagery that feels natural on camera while still being beautifully composed.

This collaboration resulted in some of my favorite bridal party and couple portraits from the day. The perfect balance of candid moments paired with gentle direction and guidance. One of the most common worries couples share with me is feeling awkward or unsure how to pose. It’s my job to meet you exactly where you’re comfortable and guide you every step of the way so your photos feel natural, relaxed, and true to you.

The celebration wrapped up at the Fairgrounds in Wapakoneta, Ohio, and what a party it was. From the new & popular reverse anniversary dance to a packed dance floor during the Cha Cha Slide, their guests showed up ready to celebrate. The room was full of energy, laughter, and joy. The perfect ending to a beautiful winter wedding day.
