Ethan & Alli Crosby | Winter Wedding in Van Wert, Ohio

The Crosby’s were my winter wedding 3 of 6, and man, were they fun. From the very start of the day, it was clear that Ethan and Alli’s wedding was going to be full of joy, connection, and unforgettable moments.

We began the day in downtown Van Wert, Ohio, at the beautiful First Presbyterian Church. The soft winter light created a moody, romantic atmosphere that set the tone perfectly for their ceremony. Winter weddings have a way of feeling especially intimate, and this one was no exception.

Family and closest friends made up the perfect bridal party. Full of laughter, encouragement, and unwavering support. I am always so thankful to work with couples who are surrounded by people who genuinely love them, and the Hefner and Crosby families are truly top notch. Days like this are a reminder of how special it is to document not just weddings, but the people behind them.

Ethan and Alli chose to do a first look, and it was such a meaningful part of their day. There’s often a debate between a first look and seeing each other for the first time down the aisle — and honestly, I love both. But a first look is especially perfect for couples who want a more private, intimate moment together. It’s a chance to shed a few tears, share some laughter, and simply breathe before the ceremony begins.

The celebration continued at the Van Wert Fairgrounds, and the reception was nothing short of a great time. The dance floor stayed full thanks to the perfect mix of music (shoutout to Devin “DJ Dev” for keeping the party going). Between late night flat lay details, energetic dance party photos, heartfelt first dances, and speeches that blew a little dust off, the evening was the perfect way to celebrate with family and friends.
